Stitch Pattern Book 500

Stitch Pattern Book 500

Posted in [Japanese Stitch Libraries] By MitzyGoose

This is a great book with four sections. We haven't translated the section names but from observation, we can tell you that most of the patterns are cable patterns, some are cable patterns with some lace and some are pure lace patterns.

We love these patterns - most are patterns we've never seen before! One complaint we have is that some pattern samples were knit in mohair and it's hard to see the actual pattern of the stitches. However, we must give the editor credit for showing us that the pattern knit in mohair was very light and airy - though we still think that the knitter who wants a stitch pattern book could figure that part out and would rather have samples in plain, smooth wool.

If you love cable patterns and bobbles, we would rate this book as a "must have". If you love lace, maybe other books would be better, but that doesn't mean this one is bad, it just doesn't have as much lace as cable-like patterns.
