Knit.1 Spring 2006 - Parlez-Vous Knitting?

We Geese are avid travelers so when we saw the Spring 2006 issue of Knit.1, also known as the ""Travel Issue"", we picked it up right away. Then, we actually read it and found a cute, 4 page chart that contains all sorts of knitter-interested phrases, such as fiber content, tool names, and phrases like ""Yes, I made this myself"", ""Oh dear, I need to rip back, again!"".

Our copy is very dog-eared and enjoyed since we dragged it through our 8 day yarn hop through Japan and used many of the phrases!

Obviously, this is an older issue and reprints may be difficult to find, but we do feel that the words/phrases that this chart contains is rather unique, unlike the basic translations of ""knit stitch"", ""purl stitch"", ""SSK"" and ""YO"". Definitely worth finding. We noticed that lots of shops actually have the chart under their ""glass blotter"", in case of a foreign visitor. :)

The bonus: Hey, there's some great knitting in this issue too! We loved the knitted travel pillow cover and the cute Japanese-like sock/slippers. The ""quillow"" (blanket that folds into a pillow) is on our list, though, we do think that you'd be better off making it in kidsilk haze for a warm, yet compact package!
